SBS Scholarship Program
In 1980, the SBS initiated its scholarship program to help Swiss and descendants of Swiss with the ever-increasing costs of higher education.
Assistance is given to qualified applicants for post high school education in any field of endeavor of formal educational instruction, including vocational school, at any domestic or foreign institution.
Scholarship awards are based on academic achievement, educational goals, and financial need.
Who can apply?
Applicants must have Swiss citizenship or be of Swiss descent, having at least one grandparent of Swiss nationality.
The scholarship program is limited to residents of the Washington, DC metropolitan area, including the settlement of Helvetia, West Virginia, and must have been residents for at least one year prior to enrollment in classes.
How do I apply?
You need to complete an application and, along with all supporting material, submit it to SBS by May 1, for awards made in the summer of each year.
